Good afternoon,

Here is what went on today/reminders

Forensics

Today we continued reviewing for a Quiz/Test tomorrow on Fingerprints.  This assessment is worth 80 points so it is worth more than a quiz but less than a test !  We went over the article questions from class yesterday and the fingerprint examples which i checked for classwork/homework credit.  We then completed a crossword puzzle review sheet for the quiz/test which we went over at the end of class.  Hand this in tomorrow for 2 extra credit points !  You received a sheet with what is on the test yesterday in class and today we went over possible quiz/test questions.

Homework

Study for quiz/test

Integrated Science

We finished all the notes for Chapter 2 yesterday.  The sections for Chapter 2 are as followed and you have fill-in note sheets for each section:

Section 2.1 - Types of matter
Section 2.2 - Physical properties of matter
Section 2.3 - Chemical properties of matter

Today we watched a review video on physical and chemical properties and went over the homework from last night identifying certain phenomena as a chemical or physical change based on evidence we learned in class.  We then did a demonstration using copper chloride and aluminum foil about what we need for a chemical change.  You received 5 points if you followed safety procedures (goggles, gloves, appropriate behavior).  We will go over this more tomorrow and I will check this sheet during the binder check.  You also picked up a sheet about what is on the test next Wednesday and  what I am looking for in your binder for the binder check (takes place during the test).  Children's Book projects were due today as well.  If you did not turn it in today you can turn it in late but you will receive 10% off for each day it is late.

Homework

Finish the demonstration worksheet from class & start preparing your binder/study materials

Reminders

Homework Club - Tuesday after school in Room 218 ! Great way to get organized and help with homework from National Honor Society students who have taken the same classes you're taking ! Take advantage of this opportunity.

Make-up Work - Several of you still need to make up tests, quizzes, and labs.  You have until NEXT THURSDAY to do so (I have extended this deadline so you have no excuse as to why you do not have these complete!)
