Hello everyone – Here is what is going on in class this week
FORENSICS
Students in forensics are currently writing a toxicology report on a famous celebrity with a history of drug abuse problems.  In this report they will detail the events leading up to the famous individuals overdose or drug related incident and then pick one drug the celebrity is/was abusing to profile.  In this profile they will classify the drug according to the schedules and groups discussed in class and look nto several other criteria as given on the instruction sheet.  The last part of the report is to explain the outcome of the abuse in a well-written paragraph.  Students had Friday and Monday in class to work on this and may potentially have some time Tuesday.  Tomorrow we will discuss the toxicology of alcohol and that will end the content for this unit.  There will be a quiz on toxicology later this week after review activities Wednesday.  Students are reminded that they already took their final a few weeks ago with the seniors but during the allotted final time in a few weeks students will just take a test on toxicology and ballistics which we will start later this week.

INTEGRATED SCIENCE
This week in integrated science we are wrapping up our unit on cell organelles.  Students will work on a variety of review activities over the next few days (crossword, bingo, graded group classwork review packet) in preparation for a quiz on Thursday (last quiz of the year!).  Today the students worked in groups on a review packet and thought of helpful review question for the final after taking a look at all of the units we have done this year. After the quiz we will look into cell membranes and diffusion briefly and then into the weekend/all of next week we will start reviewing for the final exam.  Students are reminded to make up all work ASAP as most students received a grade sheet today with several assignments that should have been passed in since the last grade sheet they received.
