Hello everyone.  I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend ! Here is what is going on in class

FORENSICS

All students took the final exam last Friday.  The final exam was composed of multiple choice questions as well as a writing portion in which students had to analyze a crime scene scenario and explain what evidence to collect & techniques they could use to collect it.  Seniors will find their final exam grade on their report card.  All other students will see their final exam grade on their report card at the end of the year and during the final exam time in June they will take a general class test on whatever units we get through from here on out (toxicology & ballistics, most likely).  This week in class we will be watching episodes on CSI and analyzing the content tin the episodes for class related content (evidence collection, motives, blood stain pattern analysis, etc).  After the seniors last day the rest of the class will start learning about toxicology.

INTEGRATED SCIENCE

This week in class students will be working on an organic molecules writing assignment.  This is the last formal writing assignment of the school year and is worth 60 assessment points so it is essentially the writing portion of the test they took last week (multiple choice/fill-in portion).  This paper is due next Monday 6/3.  Students will have class time on Tuesday & Wednesday (long periods due to senior exams) to work on their papers on the school laptops.  On Thursday we will start our next and final unit on cell biology.  Students will also receive grade report sheets this week showing them their current grade and all of the assignments for this half of the term.  Students should hand in make-up & late work ASAP.
